Windows Server VM

Objective
This guide explains how to use Windows Server VM on Ruk-Com Cloud PaaS, with ordered procedures and practical verification points.
Before you begin
- Sign in with an account permitted to manage the relevant environment.
- Confirm the target environment, region and resources before saving changes.
- Create a backup or rollback plan before changing a production system.
Ruk-Com Cloud also offers virtual machines that are Windows servers. In this guide, we will show you how to create a Windows server VM in the Ruk-Com Cloud platform. All costs include the license.
Creating Windows VM
1. Click on New Environment, click on the VPS section below, and select Windows VPS.

2. Choose Specs that are sufficient for use. (The system supports package expansion in the future, but every Upgrade / Downgrade the system will have to restart every time)

3. When finished, press Create. Wait a moment for the system to send it. Username/Password sent via e-mail.
Tips:You can hover your mouse over the Usage column to view usage estimates.

Managing Windows VM
1. Windows Server VM will be tagged as VM and the Usage icon will be different from the Container environment.

2. Some functions are different from nodes that are containers and have the following functions:
- Add-Ons- Install additional modules (e.g.Env Start/Stop Scheduler)
- Restart Node(s)- restart VM
- Statistics- Shows real-time traffic and VM resource usage history
- Remote Desktop- Connect via RDP using web client and reset password.
- Additionally- Additional options like normal nodes

Note: Currently, cloning and migration are not supported.

3. You can monitor the resources used at the Statistic menu. You can view them in detail in real time, including CPU, Memory, Network, Disk.

4. Customizing and managing applications This can be done via RDP using the Remote Desktop menu.
- Open in Browser- Connect to Windows server via RDP using Web client.
- Reset RDP Password- Change your password. Administrator
- Info- Show how to use remote desktop via RDP client.
- RDP link- Show link for connecting via RDP Client

5. In addition to using the Web client, you can use RDP applications to connect using endpoints.
- If VMs are created without selecting a public IP, an endpoints link will be created automatically.

- If you choose public IP, you can access the host directly through the IP Address.

6. All costs are calculated hourly based on actual resources used.
