THREE PRACTICES / ONE CONNECTED TEAM

See the whole system.
Choose the right starting point.

Connect architecture, software delivery and security from the start. Reduce rework between teams and make each decision traceable.

01

Cloud Solution

Build cloud architecture for the workload and the team

Moving systems, scaling a service or struggling to explain the cloud bill? Start with the workload before choosing resources and platforms.

  • Architecture & Reliability

Map dependencies, networks, data and failure domains. Design HA and DR around business recovery objectives.

  • Capacity & Cost

Assess resource usage, distinguish essential spend from optimization opportunities and document growth assumptions.

  • Migration & Operations

Plan pilots, cutover and rollback around operational constraints, with monitoring and runbooks for the team.

Typical deliverables

Architecture diagrams · Capacity / cost model · Migration plan

02

DevSecOps

Make each release more predictable

Reduce manual work and risk between code and production with repeatable workflows and clear ownership.

  • Delivery Pipeline

Design CI/CD from build, tests and security checks through release approval.

  • Infrastructure as Code

Structure infrastructure as code, environments and secret handling so changes are traceable and knowledge is shared.

  • Release & Feedback

Define quality gates, rollback and observability so the team can verify how a release behaves.

Typical deliverables

Pipeline design · IaC baseline · Release / rollback runbooks

03

Cyber Security

Prioritize the risks that matter to the business

Connect technical risk to business impact to select practical controls and a clear improvement plan.

  • Risk & Threat Model

Identify critical assets, trust boundaries and potential misuse before deciding what to assess.

  • Architecture & Controls

Review identity, access, network segmentation and logging against the system’s risk profile.

  • Assessment & Roadmap

Scope authorized assessments, prioritize remediation and define owners and validation methods.

Typical deliverables

Risk register · Control recommendations · Remediation roadmap

Security testing and production changes begin only after authorization, with agreed scope, windows, approvers and stop conditions.

FORWARD DEPLOYED ENGINEER

An engineer alongside your team.
A plan that reaches delivery.

An FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer) works alongside your team in its real operating context, connecting consulting with hands-on work from discovery and pilots to knowledge transfer.

Embedded expertise.
Shared ownership.

Understand your systems.
Work with your team.

The FDE turns goals into an actionable backlog, works with your team and brings in cloud, DevSecOps or security specialists where deeper expertise is needed.

  • Agree priorities and acceptance criteria together
  • Pilot within agreed boundaries before extending changes
  • Review work and record decision rationale
  • Transfer documentation, knowledge and access to the client team

Agree remote or on-site delivery, duration, system access and team responsibilities in the engagement before work begins.

CHOOSE THE WAY WE WORK

Start at the right point.
Extend when you are ready.

Choose the depth of engagement around your goals, team readiness and deliverables. Scope and fees are assessed for each engagement.

01

Assessment & Advisory

Understand the problem, options and priorities before investing. Begin with a workshop and review of relevant system information.

For teams that need a clear direction
02

Design & Implementation

Have a defined goal and need help designing, piloting or improving a system, with agreed validation and handover.

For a defined delivery project
03

FDE Engagement

Embed engineering expertise for the engagement, using a shared backlog and regular progress reviews.

For teams that need embedded expertise

Start with what
you want to improve.

  1. 1

Your current systems and business impact

  2. 2

    Goals, timeline and indicative budget

  3. 3

    Your team and important constraints

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Get aligned
before work begins.

You can start a conversation without a completed architecture or a diagnosis of the problem.

What if we do not know whether to start with cloud, DevSecOps or security?

Yes. Start with business impact and your current systems. We help separate concerns, identify dependencies and propose a suitable initial scope.

How does FDE differ from consulting?

Consulting focuses on assessment and decision support within the agreed scope. FDE is an engagement model where an engineer works alongside your team on a real backlog and transfers knowledge. An engagement can combine both.

Does an FDE have to work on site?

Remote, on-site or a combination can be agreed for the work. Duration, location, collaboration cadence and access boundaries are defined in the engagement.

Do we need to use Ruk-Com Cloud first?

We can begin with your current environment. Share platforms, tools and constraints so we can confirm the scope. Service and platform choices are evaluated as part of the available options.

How are data access and system changes controlled?

Define approvers and least-privilege access, and use information only for agreed purposes. Security testing and production changes require scope and authorization, with validation and rollback planning appropriate to the work.

Can support continue after handover?

Plan for either client-led operations or an onward Ruk-Com managed service. Scope, coverage hours and service levels are agreed separately before the service begins.
