Objective

This guide explains how to use Environment Aliases on Ruk-Com Cloud PaaS, with ordered procedures and practical verification points.

Before you begin

  • Sign in with an account permitted to manage the relevant environment.
  • Confirm the target environment, region and resources before saving changes.
  • Create a backup or rollback plan before changing a production system.

Specifying an alias alias (alternative name) for a separate environment or node facilitates the management process by clarifying which item you are working with. So there will be no error while selecting. environment/node that want to modify

Alias are especially useful for working with a large number of nodes of the same type. Maybe because of the featuremulti nodesLet's look at an example of defining master and slave nodes in a DB cluster below.

1. Select the required environment from the set of nodes of the same type and expand the instance list:

2. Select the node whose name you want to edit, then clickSet Aliaspencil mark (or double-click the stringNode ID: xxx) when you enter it in the input field that appears. The value will be saved automatically.

3. In the same case You can change the name for the entire environment (provided the domain name remains the same).

Additionally, other users will still see this alias for collaboration.collaborationand still stuck afterclone environment,transferringand so on (if the alias name is deleted it will return to default)
